In this role you will advance aerodynamic performance for the next generation of Airbus aircraft. You’ll work with cross-functional teams across Future Projects and R&D to integrate wind tunnel, flight test and numerical data into robust models. Responsibilities
- Develop state-of-the-art aerodynamic models using numerical simulation, wind tunnel data and flight-test results
- Plan, participate in wind tunnel tests at leading facilities and analyze outcomes
- Lead real-time flight test decisions guided by telemetry and data
- Integrate diverse data sources to represent aircraft aerodynamic performance
- Ensure design intent by robust modelling of new technologies and configurations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across international projects
Key requirements
- Knowledge of aerodynamics and factors influencing lift and drag
- Strong communication skills adapted to different audiences
- Ability to lead technically or operationally in an international environment
- Experience in Python or similar for data analysis
- Experience or understanding of aircraft flight operations and performance (beneficial)
