About us:

We build the next generation of telecommunication satellites. This job is in a team which designs and assists with production and test of electronic assemblies that give us world‑leading performance in our communications modules. We pioneer technology and engineering solutions to build a more connected world. As part of this degree apprenticeship, you will be studying towards achieving a degree in electronic engineering, or closely related discipline, which will be provided by a local University.

What you will be doing:

The successful applicant will produce electronic designs, and help to define associated printed circuit boards and metalwork; produce analyses of the design that help to demonstrate that the design will meet the specification for the part, that the design is robust enough to survive being launched on a rocket, and to operate for many years in Earth’s orbit. The role also involves elements of computer aided design, simulation, and hands‑on work in the engineering lab.

Requirements:

  • A level grade B or above in Mathematics and Physics
  • Interest in communication systems, any experience of radio communications is particularly advantageous.
  • Submit your CV stating your grades and if they are predicted or achieved

RIGHT TO WORK IN THE UK: Candidates must have current legal authorisation to work in the United Kingdom for the full duration of the programme. LEVY FUNDING: Successful candidates must be eligible for the levy funding. Our apprenticeship roles do not meet the minimum requirements set by UK Visas & Immigration to enable sponsorship of migrant workers.
