An exciting opportunity to join us as a Project Manager within Airbus Cyber Security in Newport, South Wales and involves working within the UK Defence industry, requiring the applicant to be able to be security cleared to a UK DV level (Minimum requirement SC).
You will report directly to the Programme Manager so will manage a multi‐functional team (including Engineering, Procurement, Production and other departments) to develop High Grade Security applications and products.
The primary role of this position is to ensure that the customer requirements flown down via a work order or contract are delivered On Quality, On Time and On Cost. As such you will be the primary interface to the customer ensuring that deliverables are produced in‐line with the project schedule and relevant gate/quality reviews and customer reviews. You will be fully responsible for all aspects of the equipment/deliverables and ensure the allocated team delivers to customer satisfaction.
How You Will Contribute To The Team
- Plan and oversee all aspects of the project, organising people, tasks and resources to ensure project goals are achieved.
- Establish project governance, providing key reporting/input into Project and Business Reviews, Governance Gates and other Airbus Defence and Space relevant forums in line with agreed methods and principles.
- Prepare and maintain project schedules, including dependencies, resource plan and risks.
- On‐board, lead and manage a multi‐functional Core Team, ensuring project objectives are fully understood and achieved.
- Adhere to Airbus Quality Processes, ensuring deliverables are produced in‐line with requirements, are to an exceptional standard, and are managed through the relevant Airbus gate/quality reviews and client approval process.
About You
- HND/Degree in Business Information Technology or relevant experience
- PMP, PRINCE 2 or equivalent project management certification.
- Should have an in depth knowledge of managing projects and people both locally and remotely.
- A proven track record of project delivery in a development and production environment is essential.
