Financial Manager – Business Growth Finance

LOCATION: Newport (South Wales), Chippenham (Wiltshire), Portsmouth or Stevenage (some hybrid working available).

Role Overview: An experienced Finance Manager will join our dedicated finance team to support business growth and strategic programmes. The team provides finance expertise to bids, proposals, cost evaluation and pricing models, supporting the sales and strategy teams in controlling costs.
Responsibilities:
- Actively manage the financial evaluation of new business and strategic partnership opportunities.
- Liaise with key project and risk managers to understand programme costs and risks, ensuring appropriate provisioning.
- Develop and maintain complex pricing/revenue models, including customer pricing options.
- Conduct investment appraisal using DCF techniques.
- Provide financial advice to support project teams in decision making.
- Make financial recommendations, including support for customer and supplier negotiations.
- Prepare and present necessary financial information to support governance processes.
- Prepare financial responses to customer bids & proposals and support negotiations.
- Support cost‑controlling activities to develop robust operating plans and ensure budget adherence.
Qualifications:
- Qualified accountant (ACCA, ACMA, or ACA) with >3 years post‑qualification experience.
- Experience in bid and project financial management and financial modelling.
- Experience supporting and analysing business decision making.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
