How You Will Contribute to the Team
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain high‑quality software applications and systems
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including systems engineers, hardware engineers, and other software developers, to define requirements and deliver integrated solutions
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from concept and design to testing, deployment, and support
- Write clean, efficient, and well‑documented code adhering to established coding standards and best practices
- Perform code reviews to ensure quality, maintainability, and adherence to design specifications
- Debug and troubleshoot software issues, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions
- Contribute to continuous improvement of software development processes and tools; stay up‑to‑date with emerging technologies and industry trends relevant to defence and space software development
- Assist in the creation of technical documentation, including design specifications, user manuals, and test plans
About You
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field
- Proven experience in software development, preferably within a professional environment
- Strong experience with Java (17+)
- Experience with software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum)
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git)
- Understanding of software testing principles and experience with unit and integration testing
