Configuration and Data Management (CADM) Officer
Join to apply for the Configuration and Data Management (CADM) Officer role at Airbus Defence and Space. This is a full‑time position based in Portsmouth or Stevenage – you will spend 60% of your working week in the office.
SECURITY CLEARANCE: Eligibility to gain UK SC Security Clearance.
TRAVEL: Approx. once a quarter.

About the role:
The work you support will travel to the stars and impact generations to come. You will dig into the nitty‑gritty of data – formatting, cross‑checking, merging tables and editing documents – and collaborate closely with users to drive continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities include:
- Uphold, communicate and facilitate understanding of Configuration Management (CM) guidelines and tools.
 - Champion CM policies, ensuring consistency across the business unit.
 - Record, control, maintain and monitor data and documents in the CM database (CMDB).
 - Use advanced Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Visio skills to edit document formats, tables, templates and figures to meet data control standards.
 - Learn and appreciate the importance of CM tools, policies and procedures.
 
About you:
- Previous experience in CM, technical data management, librarianship or document management.
 - Advanced user of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and Outlook.
 - Experience with file/data management tools (MS Office, PDF editor, FTP, Nero, etc.).
 - Experience with product lifecycle management tools (Windchill, Teamcenter, Aras Minerva, etc.).
 - Possess a passion for assisting users and adapting communication styles.
 - Open to bringing new ideas to improve current policies and procedures.
