You will be rolling up your sleeves to find creative, pragmatic and compliant solutions to ensure our products and services adhere to and uphold the highest standards of regulatory compliance. The role covers a wide and diverse range of regulations from CE marking directives, Environmental and Export Control to Licence Compliance and AI. The role isn't all legislation though. Developing and improving both your engineering and management skills you'll learn how to work directly with internal and external customers and be a key part of the project team. Initially you will be supporting new and legacy ground projects in Military Satellite Communications (MILSATCOM) but as you develop and grow opportunities to work with our Space colleagues will present themselves. It all sounds very scary... it is a diverse and wide role... but don’t worry you won’t be on your own. You will be given training, support and mentoring by the team and a wide range of experts every step of the way to help you fly!

How you will contribute to the team... (with training)

  • Bring ideas to the table and hold your hand up with questions or spotting red flags.
  • Day to day and during key meetings, influence internal and external stakeholders on the importance of systems safety throughout the whole project. Start to finish.
  • Gain an awareness of how compliance, export control, GDPR and AI can impact Systems Safety.
  • As you develop become key point of contact and lead for Safety and Regulatory compliance for your projects.

About you...

  • Engineering experience (Systems, Electronics, Electrical, Systems Safety).
  • Safety experience or knowledge within an Engineering environment.
  • Pragmatic, solutions based mindset. Comfortable with ambiguity and change.
  • A natural curiosity to learn more about how safety critical systems impact people, environments and products within an Engineering environment.
  • Comfortable speaking to people across the company hierarchy, adapting your communication style for technical, non-technical, detailed or bigger picture questions.
  • Experience with creating, maintaining and updating reports, data, spreadsheets and documents.
