We're looking for an experienced RF Design Engineer to join the Portsmouth based team. The multi-functional team is responsible for the design and development of RF and Microwave Instruments/equipment for Earth Observation satellites.
HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE TO THE TEAM...
- Design, simulate and optimise radio frequency/microwave circuitry and equipment.
- Develop microwave systems architectures for elements within radar and radiometer instruments covering frequency range from a few MHz to hundreds of GHz.
- Perform functional and performance analysis and decomposition of requirements to equipment and module level.
- Support integration and validation of microwave equipment at instrument level.
ABOUT YOU...
- Interested in bringing ideas to the table and working with Systems Engineers to shape instruments
- Comfortable designing hardware and systems, depending on project requirements
- Demonstrable experience of RF hardware design, development, analyses and verification methods.
- Good knowledge and use of RF simulation tools such as Keysight ADS (Advanced Design System), Ansys HFSS and other RF simulation tools
- Very familiar with the use of RF test equipment such as VNAs, Scopes, power meters, signal generators and spectrum analysers
