About the role:
This role will suit a Systems Engineer with experience from one of the following industries: SATCOM, Aerospace, Automotive, Automation/Packaging, Mining, Robotics, Space, or Manufacturing. You will be joining a small multi-disciplinary team (Electrical, Software, RF, Mechanical). As a team, you will be developing Maritime Satellite Communications systems. This role involves long-term, complex projects, coordinating with procurement and 3rd party suppliers and managing design baselines. Career progression to Systems Design Authority is available.
How will you contribute to the team:
- Support with the detailed development of Maritime MilSatCom systems, developing architectural concepts and designs in response to technical specifications. You will also support solving issues with design.
- Define the performance allocation between the various components of the architecture configuration.
- Deliver outputs from assigned project work packages within cost, schedule and quality requirements.
- Interpret customer requirements and interface directly with the programme and customer team, to demonstrate technical competence and credibility in our solutions.
- Act as a technical lead for subcontractor and supplier technical developments.
About You:
- Strong level of experience of System Engineering is required
- Ability to prepare technical documentation
- Experience of quality and assurance management processes.
- Experience of Research and Development (R&D) / Research and Technology (R&T) activities.
