A vacancy has arisen within the Cyber organisation at Airbus Defence and Space for a Finance controller. You will support and work alongside the wider UK management team on a range of contracts and business performance. At times also working on the bidding phase as well as project financial management. This role requires you to be self-motivated and solution orientated with excellent communication skills both internally and externally across a range of stakeholders; expertise in financial management with sound experience of project accounting in order to maximise profitability on existing contracts and upcoming activities. An understanding and experience of Single Source Rules in relation to MOD contracts would be desirable, at the bid phase as well as post contract completion phase. Due to the diversity of the activities undertaken by the finance team the successful candidate will need to be comfortable working on a range of opportunities from small value study and framework contracts up to large prime activities; in addition to potentially needing to provide support to other members of the team.
HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE TO THE TEAM
- You will manage all finance aspects of contracts across a wide range of customers including UK GOV, UK MOD, GCHQ and internal customers.
- You will work closely with key stakeholders to deliver profitable solutions ensuring that risks are highlighted and mitigated and required governance is followed.
- You will be responsible for management of the financial aspects of the business and ensuring governance and controls are adhered to.
- You will work with the wider organisation to advise on key contractual obligations and risks within the respective contracts.
- You will be required to develop rapport/relationships with customers to ensure smooth running of existing contracts.
- You will be the lead for the UK as part of the international Cyber Finance team.
ABOUT YOU
- Experience of working with UK Ministry of Defence, Governmental, and Non-Governmental customers in a commercial environment.
- Experience of Single Source rules in relation to MOD contracts as outlined by the SSRO, or similar sole source arrangements.
- Proven reputation as a self-starter, capable of delivering high quality workload with minimum supervision.
- Stakeholder management skills with the ability to interact and influence across a range of stakeholders.
