SECURITY CLEARANCE: Involves working within the UK Defence industry, requiring the applicants to be able to be security cleared to an SC level.

TRAVEL REQUIRED: Occasional travel within UK.

LOCATION: Portsmouth (60% of your working week must be office based).

A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Human Factors Integration Professional to join a dynamic project based in Portsmouth. Human Factors aim at ensuring the link between people and their activities. Your mission is to contribute to safety and customer’s operations efficiency, by ensuring that Airbus is considering the Human performance and limitations into its research, development, certification, production, customer support activities for its Product, Services and Processes. You will provide valuable information and design support to minimize human operator workload and errors, enable effective abnormal situation responses and enhance task performance as part of the mission.

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE TO THE TEAM

  • Interfacing with the Capability sponsor and Capability Acquirer.
  • Provide HFI/HSI integration with the System Engineering and HF Teams.
  • Analyse and define the Human System Integration Plan.
  • Define and provide HSI/HFI Domains as required by the customer e.g.
  • Provide Manpower projections.
  • Provide Personnel Data.
  • Provide Training.
  • Provide Human Factors Engineering.
  • Provide Human Safety, Health Hazards, Survivability, Habitability and Environment.

ABOUT YOU

  • Experience of integration with HSI/HFI standards.
  • Experience interfacing or working with the UK MOD Project team within HFI stages 1 to 3.
  • Experience of UK MOD FMI stages 4 to 6.
  • Experience with the UK MOD HFI working Group (HFIWG), including production of HFI Case Reports.
  • Experience with the production of RAIDO.
  • Experience with HMI and HCI Style Guides and Design Specifications.
  • Knowledge of DEFSTAN-251.
  • Knowledge JSP-912.
  • Knowledge ISO-9241-210.
  • Some knowledge of DOD instruction 50000.2.
