SECURITY CLEARANCE: Must have or be able to obtain UK Eyes Only SC Security Clearance via the UK Intelligence Community (UKIC) process.

We are looking for a Project Finance Analyst to join our team at Airbus Defence and Space in Stevenage. Reporting directly to the Ho Secure Connectivity UK, you will be responsible for co-piloting the financial performance of the business unit and ensuring that financial targets, compliance standards, and strategic objectives are achieved. You will develop robust financial models and conduct detailed performance analyses to support critical decision-making, while collaborating with various internal teams such as Tax, Treasury, Accounting, and operational business leaders.

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE TO THE TEAM

  • You will lead financial planning, prepare accurate forecasts, and set multi-year financial targets across all financial dimensions (P&L, Cash Flow, Balance Sheet).
  • You will develop and run financial models, simulations, and business cases to support M&A, project bids, and overall decision-making.
  • You will assess actual financial performance, identify actionable drivers for cost optimization, and advise on risk mitigation strategies.
  • You will define appropriate funding and cost allocation schemes and ensure the business strictly adheres to finance processes and compliance requirements.
  • You will compute hourly rates, audit purchase orders, review commitments, and manage cost accounting structures.
  • You will raise finance awareness across the business by providing a dedicated finance toolbox and educating stakeholders on key financial concepts.

ABOUT YOU

  • Experience in corporate finance, financial controlling, or FP&A within a complex operational environment.
  • Experience developing complex financial models, business cases, and scenario simulations.
  • Knowledge of cost accounting structures, tax compliance, and corporate finance frameworks (e.g., IAS38, transfer pricing, cash pooling).
  • Experience driving cost optimization initiatives, analyzing revenues and unit costs, and managing multi-year financial targets.
  • Experience communicating complex financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders and interacting confidently with auditors and Investor Relations.
