As part of the new Operations organization, the OM department integrates complementary industrial disciplines to co-design industrial system solutions for products and components, incorporating supplier support. Joining the OMFK team within the Serial CAF/FAF domain, you will collaborate with a global network spanning Plants, FALs, the Design Office, Research Technologies & Development, and Modeling & Simulation. You will integrate an experienced, passionate, and diverse team eager to welcome your unique background.

Focusing on structural and systems installation for all worldwide rear fuselages and subcomponents, your role as an Industrial Architect is to deliver cascaded requirements to designated plants, establish concept verification and validation plans, and support ramp-up or recovery projects. Additionally, you will drive industrial system design in synchronization with aircraft design ('Co-design') to increase maturity during early change developments. Strong experience in structural assembly, systems installation, and co-design is highly valued.

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE TO THE TEAM:

  • Co-Design, Alignment, and Stakeholder Collaboration: Raise MFTs to co-design industrial system changes with the Aircraft Design Office and external departments; negotiate frontier drawings and align on Build Process, Datum strategy, Tolerance analysis, and Process capabilities while driving a 'push-pull' collaboration across global stakeholders.
  • Build Concept Definition and Technology Selection: Define or re-define Build Concepts using a Value Stream Analysis approach to improve industrial architecture, material flow, and industrial structure breakdown; perform technology selection mapping to implement cost-effective, efficient technologies for ramp-up investments.
  • Systems Engineering and Manufacturing Requirements: Define, validate, and integrate Top-Level Industrial and manufacturing requirements to ensure End-to-End process optimization; create the Industrial V&V plan, identifying and scheduling the means of compliance to conduct verification.
  • Industrial Performance and Figures of Merit (FoM) Assessment: Challenge the product definition dossier to secure industrial targets and analyze Figures of Merit, including workload sizing, quality, lead-time assessment (Line Balancing, cycle times), and industrial costs (Recurring and Non-Recurring Costs).
  • Continuous Improvement, Leadership, and Knowledge Capitalization: Act as a key leader interacting across Programmes, Plants, and Finance to ensure Top Programme Objectives; apply Lean principles to identify business improvements, and ensure continuous knowledge capitalization and lessons learned are structured for the community.

ABOUT YOU:

It is the responsibility of the applicant to ensure that sufficient detail is provided on the application to demonstrate how you meet the essential job criteria, as this alone will be used for vetting purposes.

  • Co-Design & Design for Manufacturing (DFM): Proven experience in structural assembly, systems installation, and aligning aircraft design with physical manufacturing constraints.
  • Digital Tools: Full proficiency and daily operational use of Google Suite tools is mandatory for this role.
  • Advanced Lean Manufacturing & Value Stream Transformation: Strong background in Value Stream Analysis, defining industrial structure breakdowns, and optimizing main material flows.
  • Industrial Systems Engineering & V&V: Experience defining Top-Level Industrial requirements and creating robust Verification & Validation plans.

Desirable:

  • Cross-Functional & R&T Experience: Background working within a Design Office environment or Research & Technology (R&T) to seamlessly bridge the gap between early concepts and the production floor.
  • Advanced Simulation & Robotics/Automation: Experience with digital factory tools such as Robotics, Automation, and manufacturing Simulation to optimize future plant layouts and assembly processes.
  • Specialized Systems Engineering & PLM Tools: Familiarity with industry-standard digital tools like DOORS (for requirement management), 3DX (3DEXPERIENCE), or simulation software (such as SIMBAL, AnyLogic, or AVATAR).

Applications must be completed and submitted by Friday 28th of July, 2026.

Please Note: Meeting the mandatory criteria listed above guarantees consideration for the role, but does not ensure progression to the interview stage. In the event of a high volume of qualified applications, the selection panel reserves the right to shortlist and progress candidates who additionally meet one or more of the preferential (desirable) criteria.
