The Role
As a Trainee Asbestos Surveyor, you will undergo a comprehensive 6‑month training programme based at our Manchester Head Office. Training is delivered both in‑house and on client sites, giving you the practical experience and theoretical knowledge required to achieve your BOHS P402 qualification. Once qualified, you’ll carry out asbestos surveys on a wide range of properties, from residential homes to commercial and industrial buildings—always adhering to strict safety and regulatory standards.
What You'll Be Doing
- Assist with and learn to conduct asbestos surveys on domestic properties.
- Use a tablet to accurately record site data and findings.
- Learn how to check and approve reports, making amendments where necessary.
- Understand and apply legislation related to asbestos surveying.
- Progress from domestic to commercial and industrial surveying as your skills develop.
- Work closely with supervisors, clients, and members of the public in professional environments.
- Travel to various client sites across the Northwest—and occasionally beyond.
- Participate in weekend rotas and work away from home when required.
- Follow company policies regarding vehicle use and maintenance.
