The Role: As a Trainee Asbestos Surveyor, you will undergo a comprehensive 6-month training programme based at our Manchester Head Office. Training is delivered both in-house and on client sites, giving you the practical experience and theoretical knowledge required to achieve your BOHS P402 qualification. Once qualified, you’ll carry out asbestos surveys on a wide range of properties, from residential homes to commercial and industrial buildings—always adhering to strict safety and regulatory standards.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Assist with and learn to conduct asbestos surveys on domestic properties.
- Use a tablet to accurately record site data and findings.
- Learn how to check and approve reports, making amendments where necessary.
- Understand and apply legislation related to asbestos surveying.
- Progress from domestic to commercial and industrial surveying as your skills develop.
- Work closely with supervisors, clients, and members of the public in professional environments.
- Travel to various client sites across the Northwest—and occasionally beyond.
- Participate in weekend rotas and work-away from home when required.
