Location – Trafford Park (Hybrid After Probation)
Salary – Circa £28,000 DOE + uncapped performance-based commission
Hours – Monday to Friday – 9.00am-5.00pm

AEC is an employee-owned compliance consultancy and training organisation specialising in asbestos, water, fire and occupational hygiene. We have offices in Manchester and Essex and work with clients across the UK and internationally.
We’re looking for an experienced recruiter to join our HR team and take ownership of our in-house recruitment.
You’ll still get the parts of recruitment you enjoy — sourcing, speaking to candidates, filling roles and earning commission — but instead of recruiting for multiple clients, you’ll be helping to build our team. And your normal working day finishes at 5pm!
What you’ll be doing
You’ll manage recruitment from start to finish, including:
- Proactively sourcing candidates through LinkedIn, job boards and other channels
- Writing creative and engaging job adverts
- Managing applications, interviews, offers and onboarding
- Building strong relationships with hiring managers
- Keeping candidates informed and creating a great candidate experience
- Managing our ATS
- Carrying out pre-employment and reference checks
- Supporting AEC’s LinkedIn, Instagram and careers page
- Building relationships with colleges, universities and recruitment partners
- Attending careers fairs and recruitment events
- Occasionally travelling to our Essex office.
What we’re looking for
You may already be working in a recruitment agency and thinking about making the move in-house.
We’d love to hear from you if you have:
- Proven recruitment experience, either agency or in-house
- Strong candidate sourcing skills
- Experience using LinkedIn, job boards and ATS systems
- Great communication and relationship-building skills
- A proactive, solution-oriented approach
- Plenty of positive energy and a genuine interest in people.
