Chetham’s School of Music is seeking a Concerts Administrator to join the internationally renowned specialist music school located in the city centre Manchester.
The role is part‑time, with standard baseline hours of 21 hours per week for 41 weeks per year (comprising 36 weeks term‑time and 5 weeks non‑term‑time), plus additional working hours payable via timesheet, anticipated as follows:
- Increased hours up to full‑time for 6 weeks during 6 x ‘Music Course’ / prep weeks in October, February and June/July.
- 20 Saturday shifts (c. 08:30 – 13:30 term‑time only).
Non‑term‑time working can be done with greater flexibility depending on individual and business needs. This role supports the delivery of the students’ regular concerts, large rehearsals and performance opportunities.
During term‑time working hours should, in the majority, fall within a standard school working day (08:30 – 16:30), plus the regular Saturday morning shifts (20 Saturday mornings per year). However, flexibility to work outside of these hours is essential (including evenings and some unsociable hours – particularly during ‘Music Course’ weeks and other student performances as required).
Start date: 1 September 2026 (subject to recruitment checks). Permanent role.

Salary: £14,053.08 (FTE £26,817.65) – £15,242.16 (FTE £29,086.77) per annum, Scale Points 15 – 17.
