Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced build engineer to join the Airband team. The Build Engineer is responsible for the planning, execution, and management of complex build and installation projects. This role ensures that all systems and infrastructure are built to meet stringent specifications and industry best practices, delivering high-quality and reliable solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete works on the overhead and underground Airband/BTOR/JUP networks
- Accurately report progress to management
- Communicate issues identified on site and propose solutions
- Report and escalate to management as required
- Maintain a professional and tidy site, ensuring that customers/residents are communicated with politely
- Conduct daily checks of vehicles in line with the Airband Transport Policy
- Conduct daily checks of plant machinery and tools, ensuring they are safe to use and, where applicable, carry valid calibration certificates
- Complete site-specific risk assessments
- Responsible for following all Health and safety guidelines and ensuring awareness of the hazards and potential risks involved
- Ensuring all work activity complies with environmental regulations including but not limited to working efficiently and tidily, always maintaining a clean environment
- Responsible for completing and updating all appropriate paperwork for your daily work on job sheets, risk assessments, plant sheets and/or vehicle sheets
Key Skills:
- Knowledge and experience of working on the Airband and BTOR networks
- Ability to prioritise, organise and deliver planned works
- Proactive in the resolution of engineering obstacles (with supervisor buy-in)
- Flexibility to undertake works outside core working hours
- Experience of completing risk assessments and hazard identification
- Comfortable working at heights
- IT literate, able to use Microsoft office software and emails
