We are seeking a versatile Technical Business Analyst to lead the localized adaptation and system integration of our Global MVNO Core. Your mission is to ensure that our platform (HSS, DRA, PGW) isnβt just "connected," but fully optimised for specific local market requirements.
In this role, you will bridge the gap between our standardised engineering sprints and the diverse, custom-heavy needs of local MNOs, regulators, and partners. You will provide the "Functional Why and What" to the Core Network Engineers, allowing them to focus on the technical architecture while you ensure all regional mandates and interconnectivity specifications are met.
Responsibilities:
- Acting as the primary conduit between legal/regulatory findings and the Core Network team, translating regional mandates into clear functional requirements.
- Comparing local regulatory requirements against existing platform capabilities and collaborating with Core Engineers to identify necessary enhancements.
- Creating high-level technical workflows and flowcharts for regulatory services (e.g., MNP, Lawful Interception) to guide engineering teams.
- Defining business rules and data exchange requirements for Number Portability (MNP) and specifying functional needs for voice/SMS routing.
- Defining data points and reporting frequencies required by local authorities, ensuring the engineering team builds the necessary data extraction tools.
- Leading the definition of acceptance criteria to ensure that technical delivery successfully satisfies the specific regulatory hurdles of each country.
- Managing the technical-regulatory checklist for various countries simultaneously, ensuring all dependencies are captured for the development sprint.
- Coordinating with local central databases and external partners to ensure interworking specifications meet local quality-of-service mandates.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience as a Technical Business Analyst, preferably within the Telecom or Tech industry.
- Proven ability to synthesise complex regulatory documents into actionable engineering tasks.
- Comfortable discussing technical concepts such as SIP, SMS routing, and MNP databases with engineers.
- Highly skilled in writing clear User Stories, Functional Specs, and managing Jira tickets that an engineering team can execute against.
- Experience or deep interest in international roaming, interconnectivity, and the nuances of varying global telecom markets.
- Ability to create clear, structured technical documentation and process flowcharts.
- Ability to act as a liaison between legal, product, and engineering teams.
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
Bonus:
- Prior work experience in MVNO or Mobile Core environments.
- Experience with GSMA standards and eSIM technology.
- Familiarity with Lawful Interception (LI) and regional compliance reporting.
Please note that to be considered for this role, you must reside in and be fully eligible to work in either the UK or Spain. Proof of a valid right to work in one of these two countries will be required.
