This job IS for you if: You are obsessed with uncovering business opportunities through data, have proven you can optimize existing funnels, and identify new revenue streams. You think strategically about new and existing products, partnerships, pricing, and market expansion. You are curious about how successful companies outside your industry solve similar problems.

About Us

AirAdvisor is a fast-growing TravelTech startup on a mission to ensure air travelers receive the compensation they are entitled to for flight disruptions, including delays, cancellations, missed connections, and other airline-related issues like overbooking. We operate across the EU, the UK, the US, Canada, and beyond, with a clear mission to protect air passenger rights worldwide.

Our Impact: 630,000+ claims processed for clients from 221 countries • 4.6-star rating based on 30,000+ reviews • Operating in 21 languages • Ambitious goal: 1 million claims by end of 2026

Current Business Model: B2C, commission-based. Soon launching: Annual subscription coverage product - insurance for flights and baggage disruptions caused by airlines' negligence. Exploring: new revenue streams and geographical markets.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a results-driven Senior Product Analyst to drive evidence-based product decisions and accelerate our path to 1 million claims by 2026. You will report directly to the CEO and partner with Product Managers, Engineers, and Designers to shape product strategy through rigorous experimentation and data-driven insights. This is a high-impact role where your analytics will directly influence how millions of air travelers benefit from AirAdvisor's platform.

Growth Path: Business Insights Specialist & Analyst → Lead Business Insights & Product Analyst → Head of Analytics & Product Strategy

What You Will Do

  • Funnel Analysis, Product Experimentation & Testing: Optimize Claim Conversion Funnel
  • Segment funnel performance by geography, claim type (delays, cancellations, overbooking, baggage), device, traffic source, and user cohort.
  • Design and execute experiments (A/B tests, multivariate tests, quasi-experiments) to evaluate product features, UX changes, pricing strategies, and messaging, as well as claim submission and approval rates.
  • Conduct deep-dive analyses on user behavior, retention, churn, and conversion patterns.
  • Identify opportunities across user segments: airline, route, geography, acquisition source, etc.
  • Translate experiment results into clear, actionable recommendations for Product and Leadership teams.

Build Core Metrics & Decision-Support Dashboards

  • Conduct deep-dive analyses: cohort analysis, user behavior patterns, segment performance, market trends, etc.
  • Build and maintain core product metrics, including conversion rate, approval rate, revenue per visitor, customer lifetime value (LTV), and claim success rate.
  • Build dashboards and reports to monitor real-time product performance against key KPIs.
  • Track key metrics: claim conversion rate by stage, approval rate, average claim value, customer acquisition cost, lifetime value, retention, churn by segment and geography.

Strategic Insights & Roadmap Support

  • Partner with the CEO, Product Managers, Engineers, and Designers to shape product strategy and roadmap prioritization.
  • Translate complex analyses into clear, compelling recommendations for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Support legal/operations teams with data insights to improve claim validation and approval rates.

Explore New Products & Cross-Industry Inspiration

  • Evaluate new product opportunities and validate with data on customer demand.
  • Look beyond the travel/airline industry for inspiration: How do startups and established companies in other B2C industries diversify revenue streams? Could similar models work for AirAdvisor?

Discover & Expand Into New Geographic Markets

  • Analyze claim potential by country: research flight frequency, passenger volumes, regulatory environment (EU261, Montreal Convention), competitor presence, average claim value, etc.
  • Prioritize expansion targets and build business cases with TAM (Total Addressable Market), customer acquisition potential, and revenue projections.
  • Monitor performance by geography in existing markets and identify high-opportunity segments.
  • Recommend a market entry strategy for timing, messaging, partnerships, and regulatory considerations.

What You Bring

Required Experience

  • Proven track record of optimizing product funnels and improving conversion rates, with quantified revenue impact.
  • Success in identifying new revenue streams, partnerships, or markets that generated significant value.
  • Expertise in pricing strategy: experience in testing different pricing tiers, modeling customer lifetime value, and optimizing revenue based on data.
  • 4-7+ years in growth analytics and product analytics at B2C companies, where you directly influenced revenue and business decisions.
  • Experience designing and interpreting A/B tests, experiments, and validating hypotheses with statistical rigor.
  • Excellent analytical mindset: hypothesis-driven, curious about market opportunities, comfortable with ambiguity, focused on business impact.
  • Strategic thinker: You think beyond current products and are curious about new markets, new revenue models, and cross-industry inspiration.
  • Ownership mentality: obsessed with business impact and growth potential, not just analysis volume or dashboards.
  • Your technical toolkit enables your business impact. We expect:
  • Mastery of BI/visualization tools: Looker Studio, Tableau, Power BI, or similar. Build interactive dashboards that drive decisions.
  • Strong SQL skills: Write complex queries, work with large datasets, optimize for performance, and join multiple data sources.
  • Fluency in Python or R: statistical analysis, cohort analysis, modeling, TAM estimation, data manipulation.
  • Data Engineering skills to self-execute analysis within GTM and BigQuery.
  • Solid understanding of product metrics: retention, LTV, funnel analysis, cohort analysis, and unit economics.
  • Modeling & forecasting: build financial models, pricing models, revenue forecasts, unit economics.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or Mathematics, combined with strong Product and Marketing education and/or expertise.
  • Experience with subscription/pricing models or monetization strategy.
  • Experience with event tracking tools (Amplitude, Mixpanel, or similar).
  • Knowledge of causal inference and advanced statistical methods.
  • Exposure to machine learning applications in product development.
  • Previous experience in OTAs, TravelTech, FinTech, LegalTech, or SaaS environments.

What Success Looks Like

  • Identify and validate 3-5 new geographic markets (e.g., Turkey, Brazil) using TAM analysis and expansion business cases.

  • Build analytics infrastructure to support expansion into new markets.
  • Drive continuous optimization of the claim funnel to maintain competitive conversion rates and CAC.
  • Subscription product successfully launched with data-backed pricing. Monitor adoption, churn, and profitability. Optimize based on learnings.
