About Us

At AirAdvisor, we are dedicated to ensuring air travelers receive the compensation they are entitled to for flight disruptions. Whether it’s a delay, cancellation, missed connection, or an airline-related issue like overbooking. We have successfully processed over 450,000 claims, earning a 4.6-star rating from 22,000+ reviews. Currently operating in 20 languages (with 10 more forthcoming this year), AirAdvisor is an ambitious and fast-growing startup with a clear vision for international expansion and we plan to reach 1 million claims by the end of 2026.

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Solicitor / Lawyer specializing in consumer flight claims (typically via small claims procedure) to lead in-court collections owning or wanting to open their own boutique Legal Firm in the UK. Pre-court collections are managed by a team of paralegals. You will be responsible for filing batches of court cases to collect compensation and/or reimbursement of Out-of-Pocket Expenses (OPE) incurred by passengers and/or recover ticket refunds. AirAdvisor currently handles three types of claims: EU261 compensation for flight delays, cancellations, and denied boarding. Within the next couple of weeks we will be also launching baggage claims (delayed or lost).

If the law or judge decides the case unfairly, we would consider escalating this to change the law, if feasible. There may be PR opportunities regarding court victories and essential legal issues to bring to the spotlight for public awareness. This is an excellent opportunity for high performers who are able to self-perform, have strong litigation experience and have a passion for advocating consumer rights in the airline industry.

The candidate must be free from conflict of interests, aka be free to litigate claims against different airlines.

Requirements:

  • A valid lawyer’s/solicitor’s license and legal insurance.
  • A law degree from an accredited institution.
  • Experience with small claims, consumer rights or aviation law is a plus but is not required.
  • Knowledge of relevant consumer protection laws and aviation regulations is a plus but is not required.
  • Proven track record of successful in-court collection.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess case merits, conduct legal research, and develop effective legal strategies.
  • Ability to manage a caseload, prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and track statute of limitations.
  • Experience in automating and standardizing claims management processes to scale up quickly.

Responsibilities:

  • Preparing and filing batches of cases in courts against different airlines, responding strongly to airline legal defences (from substantive to jurisdictional defences).
  • Leading enforcement of court decisions, if necessary;
  • Legal research & accumulating best legal practices on how to deal with different issues.
  • Negotiating in-court settlements, if any.
  • Maintaining accurate and detailed case records, adhering to all relevant legal and ethical guidelines, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Staying abreast of developments in consumer protection laws, aviation regulations, and relevant legal precedents to enhance expertise and provide the most up-to-date advice and representation to clients.
