We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Solicitor / Lawyer specializing in consumer flight claims to lead in-court collections. You will be responsible for filing batches of court cases to collect compensation and/or reimbursement of Out-of-Pocket Expenses (OPE) incurred by passengers and/or recover ticket refunds. AirAdvisor currently handles three types of claims: EU261/UK261 compensation for flight delays, cancellations, and denied boarding.

Requirements:

  • A valid lawyer’s/solicitor’s license and legal insurance.
  • A law degree from an accredited institution.
  • Experience with small claims, consumer rights or aviation law is a plus but is not required.
  • Knowledge of relevant consumer protection laws and aviation regulations is a plus but is not required.
  • Proven track record of successful in-court collection.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess case merits, conduct legal research, and develop effective legal strategies.
  • Ability to manage a caseload, prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and track statute of limitations.
  • Experience in automating and standardizing claims management processes to scale up quickly.

Responsibilities:

  • Preparing and filing batches of cases in courts against different airlines, responding strongly to airline legal defences.
  • Leading enforcement of court decisions, if necessary; Legal research & accumulating best legal practices on how to deal with different issues.
  • Negotiating in-court settlements, if any.
  • Maintaining accurate and detailed case records, adhering to all relevant legal and ethical guidelines, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Staying abreast of developments in consumer protection laws, aviation regulations, and relevant legal precedents.
