About the role as Health and Safety Manager at Aira

As Health and Safety Manager at Aira you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees and customers across the United Kingdom. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring health and safety initiatives to create a secure and compliant working environment.

What you will be doing as Health and Safety Manager at Aira

  • Develop, implement, and review health and safety policies and procedures in line with relevant legislation and industry best practices
  • Ensure the company\’s compliance with all health and safety regulations and standards, conducting regular audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement
  • Conduct comprehensive risk assessments for all aspects of the business, providing recommendations for risk mitigation and ensuring that corrective actions are implemented
  • Develop and deliver health and safety training programs for employees, subcontractors, and relevant stakeholders. Keep training materials up to date with changing regulations
  • Investigate and report on all accidents and incidents, implementing preventive measures to avoid recurrence. Maintain accurate records of incidents and near misses
  • Develop and oversee emergency response plans, ensuring that all employees are adequately trained in emergency procedures
  • Collaborate with internal teams to promote a safety culture, providing guidance and support on health and safety matters. Act as a point of contact for all health and safety-related inquiries
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in health and safety performance by analysing data, identifying trends, and implementing proactive measures
  • Maintain positive relationships with regulatory authorities, staying informed about changes in legislation and ensuring the company\’s ongoing compliance
