Aira is dedicated to delivering high‑quality electrical installations with a focus on compliance, safety, and technical excellence. We are seeking a Qualified Supervisor (QS) to oversee electrical compliance, mentor electricians, and maintain technical standards.

As a Qualified Supervisor (QS) at Aira, you will be responsible for ensuring all electrical work meets NIC EIC regulations, maintaining technical compliance, and supporting the electrical team through auditing, certification, and technical guidance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Compliance & Certification Management
    • Ensure all electrical installations meet BS 7671 standards.
    • Approve and oversee Electrical Installation Certificates (EICs).
    • Assist the team with ENA applications and DNO approvals.
    • Conduct visual inspections of post‑completion photos to ensure compliance.
    • Maintain accurate records of all certificates and documentation.
  • Auditing & Quality Assurance
    • Perform site visits to check compliance with Aira's standards.
    • Conduct photo‑based and physical audits for compliance.
    • Identify non‑compliance issues and support corrective actions.
    • Track and maintain meter calibration records.
    • Ensure all electricians follow safe isolation procedures and use the correct kits.
  • Technical Support & Training
    • Act as first‑line support for electricians and office teams on technical issues.
    • Assist surveyors and planners with max demand calculations.
    • Collaborate with the Aira Academy to develop new Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
    • Participate in the evaluation and selection of new electrical equipment (consumer units, isolators, SPDs, etc.).
  • Planning & Coordination
    • Support the planning team with ENA applications, pre‑install visits, and isolator requirements.
    • Work closely with team leaders to identify areas for electrician development.
    • Use the QS compliance dashboard to track electrical compliance across regions.

This is a dedicated role requiring a balance of office, home, and fieldwork as needed. Desktop‑based work can be completed from the hub or home, subject to approval. The QS may be required to support installation, maintenance, or repair work if it does not interfere with compliance responsibilities.

Required Qualifications & Experience
  • BS 7671 – Electrical Wiring Regulations.
  • Level 3 Electrical Craft Certification.
  • Level 3 Test & Inspection Certification.
  • Experience in an electrical compliance or supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of NIC EIC requirements and UK electrical regulations.
  • Ability to mentor and coach electricians on compliance and best practices.
