AirX Jet Support is a UK CAA and EASA approved Aircraft Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul organisation with approval to provide Line & Base Maintenance services on our parent company fleet of Bombardier CL604, CL850, Embraer EMB-135 and ERJ-190 aircraft. Due to continued growth and expansion, we are recruiting for a Technical Records Administrator to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and managing all technical records related to aircraft maintenance, repairs and modifications in strict compliance with Part 145 regulations, internal procedures and customer requirements. This role requires an understanding of aviation documentation standards, attention to detail and an ability to work in a fast-paced environment while ensuring records are accurate, up to date and audit ready. This role reports to the Technical Support Manager and is based at the London Stansted Diamond Hangar facility working a Monday to Friday shift pattern.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Maintain and update aircraft technical records, ensuring compliance with Part 145 regulations, internal procedures and customer requirements.
- Collaborate with Production teams to gather and verify maintenance records, airworthiness release certificates and other required documents.
- Check aircraft technical records for discrepancies and correct completion standards.
- Ensure aircraft technical records requiring corrections are distributed to the relevant departments for remedial action.
- Scan and electronically file aircraft technical records in the correct location and format according to internal procedures and customer requirements.
- Support the auditing process by preparing necessary documentation for internal and external audits.
- Act as a point of contact for all aircraft technical record related inquiries from internal departments, customers and regulatory authorities.
- Input technical data into the company's records management system and maintain databases.
- Prepare and generate reports as requested by management.
- Assist in the management of the archive system, including organising, storing and retrieving records as required.
- Ensure that aircraft technical records are properly archived and accessible in compliance with retention policies.
- Work closely with the Production Planning and Technical Services departments during the preparation and execution of aircraft maintenance projects.
- Actively support, promote and contribute to continuous improvement ideas and lean principles.
- Undertake any reasonable activities as required by management.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Previous experience in aircraft technical records management, ideally within an approved maintenance organisation.
- Working knowledge of Part 145 regulations.
- Familiarity with MRO user systems (Veryon, Traxall or similar).
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to handle complex documentation.
- Be a team player who will grasp opportunities to exceed the expectations of external customers.
- Flexible worker who is prepared to adjust working hours to meet operational demands.
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint and the ability to learn in-house systems.
Additional Requirements
- Candidates must have legal authorisation and the right to work in the UK.
- Full clean UK driving licence.
- Ability to obtain security clearance and hold an airside ID pass.
