AirX Jet Support is a UK CAA and EASA approved Maintenance Repair Organisation with approval to provide Line & Base Maintenance services on our parent company fleet of CL-600, EMB-135 and ERJ-190 series aircraft. Due to continued growth and expansion, we are recruiting for a B2 Licensed Aircraft Engineer to join our team.
The B2 Licensed Aircraft Engineer will have responsibility for the supervision of Mechanics and inspection and certification of scheduled maintenance tasks, defect rectification, modifications, repairs and functional tests on aircraft. They will plan and allocate tasks to ensure the daily workload is completed and the production plan remains on schedule. This role is based at the London Stansted Diamond Hangar facility working a rotational 5-5-4 day shift pattern. A degree of flexibility is expected including a requirement to work overtime if required.
Responsibilities and Duties- Supervise a team of Mechanics performing Base Maintenance on aircraft.
- Inspection and certification of scheduled maintenance tasks, defect rectification, modifications, repairs and functional tests on Avionic and Electrical systems.
- Ensure all work assigned to Aircraft Mechanics is completed in a timely manner to optimise aircraft downtime.
- Ensure aircraft technical logbook, maintenance documentation, job cards, work packages and handovers are completed accurately and within prescribed timescales.
- Ensure correct use and accuracy of the MRO user system for all maintenance activities.
- Maintain a high standard of husbandry and cleanliness within assigned work areas.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, company processes and procedures.
- Adopt and promote the company Safety, Quality and FOD culture.
- Highlight any technical issues, discrepancies or other issues to the Production Manager.
- Actively support, promote and contribute to continuous improvement ideas and lean principles.
- Promote a just culture and report all incidents and occurrences in the IQSMS portal.
- Undertake any reasonable activities as required, including working away from London Stansted.
- Must have a minimum of 1 year exercising certification privileges with experience working in a Line or Base Maintenance environment.
- Be able to demonstrate 6 months recent experience on type and ability to hold and maintain appropriate company authorisations specific to role.
- Comprehensive understanding of Part 145 regulations.
- Previous experience of using Veryon or other Maintenance Management Systems.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Be a team player who will grasp opportunities to exceed the expectations of external customers.
- Flexible worker who is prepared to adjust working hours to meet operational demands.
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint and the ability to learn in-house systems.
- Hold a valid UK CAA and/or EASA Category B2 Part 66 Aircraft Maintenance Licence.
- Type rating on one or more of the following aircraft - CL-600, EMB-135 or ERJ-190.
- Candidates must have legal authorisation and the right to work in the UK.
