We are looking for an experienced and organised Utilities Coordinator / Office Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have previous experience within the utilities, infrastructure, or a similar industry and be confident working with office systems, project documentation and customer/network operator communications.

We are looking for an experienced and organised Utilities Coordinator / Office Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have previous experience within the utilities, infrastructure, or a similar industry and be confident working with office systems, project documentation and customer/network operator communications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and support ongoing utility infrastructure projects.
  • Manage project administration, documentation and records.
  • Prepare and submit utility applications and related documentation.
  • Liaise with customers, contractors, network operators and other stakeholders.
  • Assist with electricity and gas connection projects from application through to completion.
  • Manage quotations, correspondence and project updates.
  • Follow up on applications, quotations, approvals and outstanding information.
  • Maintain accurate records and update internal systems.
  • Review site plans, drawings and project information.
  • Assist with preparing project quotations and cost information.
  • Monitor project progress and ensure required actions are followed up.
  • Provide general administrative and coordination support to the project team.
  • Communicate professionally with customers and external organisations.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in utilities, infrastructure, or a related industry.
  • Good understanding of electricity and/or gas infrastructure and mains works.
  • Experience dealing with utility companies, network operators, contractors or customers is desirable.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
  • Comfortable using computer systems and learning new software.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks at the same time.
  • Professional attitude and ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Desirable Experience

Experience with any of the following would be advantageous:

  • Electricity and gas connection applications
  • Point of Connection (POC) applications
  • Utility network operators
  • MPAN/MPRN-related processes
  • Quotations and connection offers
  • Site plans and utility drawings
  • Project coordination
  • Customer and contractor liaison
  • Utility industry documentation and processes
