Air Transat is seeking an experienced Marketing Manager to provide up to 12-months maternity leave cover. Based in London, this hybrid role offers the flexibility to work both from the office and remotely.
Role Overview
Reporting to the International Markets Marketing & Communications Director based in France, the International Markets Marketing Manager is responsible for driving marketing performance across Air Transat's international markets, with a primary focus on the UK and France.
The role combines marketing planning, campaign execution, partnership development and market activation to support Air Transat's commercial objectives and brand growth.
Working across multiple teams and external partners, the successful candidate will play a key role in delivering impactful marketing initiatives that drive demand and strengthen Air Transat's market presence.
We're looking for a proactive, commercially minded marketer with strong campaign management, media planning and stakeholder management skills, capable of balancing strategic thinking with hands‑on execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Marketing Planning & Commercial Alignment
- Develop and execute annual marketing plans aligned with commercial objectives, market opportunities and business priorities.
- Partner closely with Revenue Management and Commercial teams to identify strategic priorities, growth opportunities and promotional needs.
- Monitor market performance, customer demand, competitive activity and business results to continuously optimise marketing plans and investments.
- Maintain the integrated marketing calendar and ensure alignment across stakeholders and markets.
- Campaign Management & Media Execution
- Lead the end-to-end development and delivery of integrated marketing campaigns across paid, owned and earned channels.
- Translate business priorities into actionable campaign plans, ensuring timely execution, stakeholder alignment and operational readiness.
- Manage media planning for the UK and France, and creative development, localisation and campaign activation for international markets in collaboration with internal teams and external agencies.
- Track campaign performance, identify optimisation opportunities and incorporate learnings into future activities.
- Partnerships, PR & Market Development
- Lead marketing activity across the UK and selected international markets to strengthen Air Transat's visibility, reputation and market presence.
- Develop and manage strategic partnerships with tourism boards, airports, airline partners and other industry stakeholders.
- Oversee PR activity, including UK PR agency management, media relations, press trips, influencer partnerships, events and promotional activations.
- Budget & Performance Management
- Manage marketing budgets across assigned markets, including forecasting, spend tracking and reporting.
- Evaluate marketing effectiveness and ensure investments support commercial objectives and deliver measurable business results.
- Provide regular performance updates and recommendations to support business decision-making.
Qualifications & Experience
Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications or a related field.
- 5+ years’ experience in marketing, preferably within travel, tourism, aviation or other consumer-focused industries.
- Proven experience developing and delivering integrated marketing campaigns across multiple channels and markets.
- Experience working in cross-functional environments and managing relationships with internal stakeholders, external agencies and commercial partners.
- Experience in marketing planning, budget management, performance reporting and translating commercial objectives into actionable marketing initiatives.
- Must-Have Skills
- Fluent in both English and French, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of the UK and French travel and aviation sectors and their respective market dynamics.
- Strong campaign, project and budget management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
- Commercially minded and analytical, with the ability to translate business objectives, market insights and performance data into effective marketing plans and recommendations.
- Highly organised, proactive and adaptable, with the ability to balance strategic thinking and hands‑on execution in a fast‑paced environment.
- Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience managing PR activities, partnership marketing or cooperative marketing programmes.
- Familiarity with campaign measurement, marketing effectiveness and performance optimisation methodologies.
- Good understanding of Canada as a destination, including its tourism industry, key stakeholders and travel market dynamics.
