This well-established digital performance agency is looking for an SEO Account Manager to take full ownership of a portfolio of client accounts and drive meaningful organic growth. This is a role for someone who enjoys autonomy, strategic responsibility and working closely with clients, while staying hands-on across content, off-page and technical SEO.
As SEO Account Manager, you’ll be the day-to-day owner of your client portfolio, leading SEO strategy and execution with minimal oversight. The focus is broadly 60% content and off-page SEO and 40% technical SEO, with strong collaboration across paid media, creative and growth teams. You’ll use modern tools (including AI where appropriate) to work efficiently, uncover opportunities and deliver smarter, more effective campaigns.
What you’ll be doing:
- Acting as the main point of contact for clients, running regular calls and providing clear performance updates and recommendations
- Developing and executing SEO strategies aligned to commercial goals
- Leading content planning, briefs, optimisation and topical authority strategies
- Managing outreach, digital PR and link-building activity
- Conducting technical audits and implementing on-page fixes, schema updates and Core Web Vitals improvements
- Producing clear briefs for developers on more complex SEO issues
- Monitoring performance using GA4, GSC, Ahrefs, Semrush and similar tools
- Analysing data to demonstrate ROI, forecast growth and adapt strategy
- Keeping ahead of SEO and search trends, including AI-led developments
- Collaborating with paid search, paid social and CRO teams on integrated strategies
What we’re looking for:
- 3+ years’ experience in SEO, with ownership of client accounts end-to-end
- Strong experience across content strategy, off-page SEO and link building
- Solid technical SEO fundamentals (audits, site speed, structured data, tracking)
- Confident using SEO tools such as GA4, GSC, Ahrefs, Semrush and Screaming Frog
- Comfortable translating SEO performance into commercial outcomes for clients
- Proactive, organised and confident working independently
- Experience across CMS platforms such as WordPress or Shopify is a bonus
