This data-driven media agency based in Bath is looking for a Media Account Director. They prioritize effectiveness and sustainability in delivering successful campaigns for their clients. As a Media Account Director, you will be responsible for managing and developing a roster of media clients, cultivating loyal and trusted business relationships, and working with key client stakeholders and the wider team to ensure they meet objectives and present innovative and effective strategies to produce compelling results that grow their business. You will work closely with the team, evangelizing about media internally and externally, helping to build the agency’s industry profile through thought leadership.
Responsibilities of this Media Account Director:
- Lead several accounts being the key contact, both internally & externally, maintaining top-class client service.
- Plan and buy offline media campaigns (press, inserts, door drop, etc.) as per clients’ strategies.
- Prepare for and attend regular client meetings, producing client presentations including campaign results, performance forecasting, manipulation, interpretation, and presentation of results with rationales and recommendations for future planning.
- Demonstrate exceptional negotiation skills, including a creative and innovative approach where appropriate.
- Assist with plan creation for new business opportunities.
- Support and input into the strategic vision of the team.
- Have overall responsibility for account performance, growth, and financials.
- Identify trends and proactively develop new opportunities, continuously looking at ways of increasing margins by pushing clients to test new opportunities and initiatives.
- Leverage supplier relationships to drive new opportunities.
- Develop and maintain exceptional supplier and client relationships, leading the wider media team to do the same.
Requirements for this Media Account Director:
- At least 4-5 years’ experience of planning and buying offline media (press, inserts, door drop, etc.).
- Excellent communication skills, both in writing and verbally with people at all levels.
- Creative in problem-solving and decision-making, with a quick-thinking approach.
- Exceptional time management skills: ability to prioritize workload, anticipate blockers, and make contingencies.
- Strategic and lateral thinker who is creative in their approach to campaign planning.
- Experience in systems such as Nielsen, MediaTel, TGI.
