The Director of New Business Development is responsible for driving net‑new client growth by identifying, developing, and converting high‑value new business opportunities aligned to strategic priorities. This role owns the end‑to‑end new business journey—from lead generation and qualification through to pitch leadership and conversion—ensuring the agency secures profitable, long‑term client relationships that reflect the quality of our brand experience proposition.
Essential Accountabilities:- Manage the entire new business cycle from opportunity identification to pitching and contract conversion.
- Develop a high‑quality business pipeline aligned with revenue targets.
- Execute strategic plans to expand client base in priority sectors.
- Identify key sectors and brands for growth based on market trends.
- Network to uncover qualified new business opportunities.
- Collaborate with Marketing on lead generation and outreach campaigns.
- Build relationships with senior stakeholders during client engagement.
- Proven track record in new business development within experiential, brand experience and/or social marketing.
- Retail experience is highly desirable.
- Strong experience selling consultative, insight‑led brand experience solutions rather than transactional services.
- Demonstrable experience building and converting high‑value opportunity pipelines.
- Strong network with the ability to open doors and generate opportunities through relationships.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and proposal‑writing skills.
- Experience leading multidisciplinary pitch teams and RFP/RFI processes.
- Strong understanding of brand experience, consumer behaviour and category trends.
- Commercially astute, with a clear understanding of revenue, margin and long‑term client value.
