This growing and highly respected retail business seeks a talented Management Accountant to join their dynamic finance team. This role sits at the heart of the organisation, working across finance, sales, marketing and operations to provide insight, shape strategy, and help drive profitability. Management & Statutory Accounts
- Own the monthly management accounts process, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
- Analyse financial performance and highlight key trends and variances.
- Support year‑end audit activity and collaborate closely with the Financial Controller.
Performance Metrics & Reporting
- Develop dashboards and KPIs to track business performance.
- Present clear insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
Financial Planning & Analysis
- Lead on budgeting and forecasting cycles.
- Conduct variance analysis to monitor performance against targets.
Commercial Strategy & Business Partnering
- Work closely with sales and marketing to support pricing, promotional activity and product launches.
- Provide financial guidance to help shape commercial decision‑making.
- Build strong relationships across the business, acting as a trusted strategic advisor.
Profitability & Financial Modelling
- Evaluate product, customer and channel profitability, identifying opportunities to improve margin.
- Develop robust financial models to support planning and investment decisions.
- Conduct scenario and sensitivity analyses to guide strategic choices.
Risk, Controls & Compliance
- Monitor financial risks and recommend mitigation plans.
- Strengthen financial controls and support continuous process improvements.
What we’re looking for:
- Ideally ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified (or equivalent), with experience in a retail or consumer‑focused business.
- Proven experience in management reporting, commercial finance, budgeting and forecasting.
- Strong analytical ability, comfortable working with complex data and translating insights into clear actions.
- Excellent communication skills – able to partner effectively with non‑finance teams and senior leaders.
- Confident working in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment where priorities can shift.
- Experience with SAGE 200, SAP Concur or Zedonk is an advantage, but not essential.
