Experiential Production Manager — Retail & Brand Environments

Battersea / Hybrid | £35,000–£70,000 + Benefits

We’re looking for an Experiential Production Manager to join an independent design and production studio delivering flagship retail environments, pop-ups, exhibitions and brand activations for major global brands.

This opportunity could suit an established Production Manager or someone ready to step up who already has practical experience managing bespoke physical builds.

Working closely with designers, Producers and Directors, you’ll turn creative concepts into well-built, beautifully finished environments. You’ll manage the production workstream from design development through fabrication, logistics, installation and breakdown.

The role

You’ll work alongside a Producer who leads the overall project and client relationship. Your focus will be the technical and physical delivery: how the environment is made, what it costs, who builds it and how it is installed safely.

You’ll manage fabricators and specialist contractors rather than being expected to carry out carpentry, welding or other trades yourself. You will, however, need enough practical production knowledge to challenge proposals, assess quality and resolve build issues.

Responsibilities include:

  • Translating designs and technical information into practical production scopes.
  • Reviewing drawings, materials, finishes and fabrication methods with designers and suppliers.
  • Obtaining quotations, building production budgets and negotiating supplier costs.
  • Managing fabrication schedules, installation programmes and production deadlines.
  • Sourcing, briefing and coordinating fabricators, contractors and specialist suppliers.
  • Conducting site surveys, workshop visits and pre-build checks.
  • Finding cost-effective solutions while protecting the design and quality of finish.
  • Planning transport, freight, storage, site access and installation logistics.
  • Overseeing onsite teams during installation and breakdown.
  • Coordinating RAMS, health and safety documentation and venue requirements.
  • Keeping Producers and designers informed of progress, costs and risks.
  • Reconciling production expenditure after delivery.

What we’re looking for

You’ll have relevant experience in experiential installations, exhibition builds, pop-ups, branded retail environments or scenic production.

Your background should demonstrate:

  • Experience managing physical builds through fabrication and installation.
  • Practical understanding of materials, finishes and construction processes.
  • Confidence reading technical drawings and discussing build solutions.
  • Experience coordinating fabricators, suppliers and installation crews.
  • Production budgeting, scheduling and cost control.
  • Understanding of site operations, logistics and production health and safety.
  • Clear communication, strong organisation and calm problem-solving.
  • Willingness to work regularly from Battersea and travel across the UK and internationally.

Retail fit-out, international delivery, modular structures and larger project budgets would be advantageous. We’re interested in the work you have personally delivered and the responsibility you have taken, rather than your job title alone.

What’s on offer

  • £35,000–£70,000, depending on experience and level of responsibility.
  • Discretionary bonus.
  • Unlimited holiday.
  • Hybrid working between the Battersea studio and remote.
  • Personal development allowance.
  • Choice of hardware and software.
  • UK and international project opportunities.
  • Direct collaboration with Directors, designers and production specialists.

If you enjoy solving build challenges and delivering high-quality physical brand environments, we’d love to hear from you.
