We are looking for a Financial Analyst who supports the Poland Industrial Gases business (commercial and supply chain) in achieving their commitments by providing meaningful financial analysis, accurate reporting and planning, and general financial advice together with an input into decision making. This is a great opportunity for an individual who is looking to progress and develop with the financial business decision support role. It is important that you already have some financial background and experience to set you up for success! You will be provided the respective coaching and mentoring. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys improving processes and transitioning from manual to simplified and more automated tasks (use of AI is encouraged).

The successful candidate could be based in one of the following locations:

  • POLAND – Warsaw or Siewierz or WrocĹ‚aw or Czestochowa or KÄ™dzierzyn‑KoĹşle
  • CZECH REPUBLIC – Prague or Brno
  • UNITED KINGDOM – Chertsey, Surrey

EXPERIENCE: Relevant financial background and experience are necessary

EDUCATION: University degree. Preference: finance, economics, business, engineering, accounting, MBA, master's degree in finance or economics or a financial qualification, completed or in progress (ACCA/CIMA)

SALARY: Competitive salary + annual bonus + competitive benefits

As the Financial Analyst, you will:

  • Contribute to achieving Operating Plan targets for the Polish Industrial Gases business
  • Month-end close review results reporting, major factor preparation and analysis of monthly results and forecasting
  • Prepare together with the regional management team the monthly/quarterly report package for the Business Area Reviews
  • Quarterly formal forecasts for the fiscal year, working closely with business leads, develop analysis comparing forecast to Operating plan targets
  • Responsible for preparation of the yearly Operating Plan, working closely with all areas of the business
  • Provide proactive business support, including elements such as:
  • Provide analysis on major operational/commercial projects – customer profitability, price/margin analysis, new business profitability analysis
  • Monitor Capex and facilitate cost control of the supply chain and plant operations
  • Contribute to business meetings and communicate effectively with the Poland IG business at all its levels
  • Assist with preparing the “Cost to Serve” standards for the integrated gases business
  • Support various projects on an ad-hoc basis
  • Work with Supply Chain, Customer Engineering, Operations to help them understand cost performance, comparison to the prior year and Operating Plans
  • Proactively engage with the team, highlighting cost trends and helping develop actions to correct performance
  • Work with the team to support the identification of productivity programs, measuring impact/performance
  • Keep a close link between the business unit and the Accounting and Shared Businesses Services organization for the region

As the Financial Analyst, you already are or have:

  • Minimum University Degree
  • Preferred fields: finance, economics, business, engineering, accounting, MBA, master's degree in finance or economics or a financial qualification, completed or in progress (ACCA/CIMA) would be a distinctive advantage, especially if degree is out of preferred fields
  • Prior business or finance partnering experience would be an advantage
  • Experience in FP&A function would be beneficial
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good systems knowledge (SAP, Analysis/BusinessWarehouse) coupled with excellent Office skills (MS Excel used extensively)
  • BI tools: BEX, Qlik Sense are beneficial
  • The high degree of initiative, ability to learn and efficiently manage multiple tasks
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a challenging fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to interact and communicate with all levels within the organization including senior management and other functions
  • Languages: Polish and English required
