Air Personnel are looking for a Sales and Procurement Manager with Aviation experience to join a client in Cornwall.

This is a full-time on-site role as a Sales and Procurement Manager located in Liskeard. The Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for a team across all sites, demand planning, supply management, inventory management, procurement, and utilising analytical skills to optimise the supply chain operations of the Group.

Reports directly to the Head of Engineering.

  • Directly manage and motivate all stores personnel and encourage teamwork within the department and the wider business.
  • Oversee all of the procurement and all sales of parts throughout the business.
  • Assist with procedures and processes on all aircraft teardowns, storage, preservation and part sales within the Part 145 regulatory environment.
  • Develop procedures and processes to ensure Stores at all bases are Part 145 compliant and meet regulatory standards.
  • Serve as a point of contact for all Stores/Logistics/Procurement enquiries within the working day and, within reason, out of hours as well.
  • Organise appropriate training for all Stores personnel including Aerotrac, Part 145, Form 1/8130/TC documentation.
  • Liaise with customers, suppliers, and logistical support companies.
  • Develop and maintain a procedure to ensure that stock levels of regularly used aircraft spares are appropriate across all bases.
  • Ensure that progress chasing is carried out to ensure timely delivery of all procured goods and spares.
  • Ensure that the calibration of tooling is carried out within the required timescales and documented throughout all bases including those overseas.
  • Ensure acceptance and recording of new tools and equipment including calibration details.
  • Organise approved third-party companies to assist with the maintenance and hanger activities.
  • Provide facilities management support to assist with the maintenance of buildings, including the provision of suitable records and documentation where required.
  • Ensure appropriate processes and systems are in place to maximise the efficiency of logistics operations (e.g. customs clearance, transport requests, receipt and dispatch of goods, import/export).
  • Make visits to third party company businesses, customers and sites as appropriate, to develop working relations to ensure stores/logistics business development.
  • Conduct management reviews and/or follow-up on audit observations to assist in the improvement of procedures and practices related to stores and logistics.
  • Capable of thriving in a dynamic, high-energy team environment.
  • Adaptable to travel to various sites across the UK as needed.
