Air Personnel are looking for a Project Manager to join their client in Farnborough (Hybrid working can be agreed see below) An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Project Manager to join the Project Management Office (PMO) in support of work across the Group. This is a diverse role that offers the unique opportunity to work on high-impact projects, which requires knowledge and experience of many different aspects of the Aviation Industry. The Project Manager will pay a pivotal role in leading, coordinating and delivering multiple challenging yet rewarding projects, including all aspects of project delivery to the point at which a capability is transitioned to a business-as-usual state. This role will have exposure to various aspects of our business, from operations to innovation initiatives, with the responsibility of ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest standards. The successful candidate will be joining an innovative team, tackling complex challenges that directly impact our business growth and success, whilst driving continuous improvement across the PMO function. We are looking for a driven and experienced Project Manager, who will be required to engage confidently at a senior level across the Strategic Business Units (SBU) and be able to tailor internal process for the different and specific needs of each SBU. The ability to contribute to bid development and commercial negotiations is highly desirable as is the ability to build and manage long term customer relationships. Responsibilities of a Project Manager: * Assisting the PMO with the delivery of projects across the business and acting as the focal point for internal stakeholders during the planning and initiation phases of a project * Providing robust project governance in line with internal processes and industry best practice * Responsible for the development, ownership and implementation of project management plans, schedules, risk registers and other associated tools * Completing internal and external reporting including schedule, financial and quality performance * Assisting with bid development work as required, providing inputs on cost, schedule and risk * Providing assistance to account managers during the business as usual phase of a contract * Delivering briefs to the senior leadership team and providing assistance in the preparation of briefs and presentations to the Board of Directors Skills, Qualifications and Experience required for the Project Manager: Essential * Significant experience of delivering complex projects, ideally in an aviation, manufacturing or technology environment * Proven ability to work as part of a matrix organisation * Able to apply different methodology as required i.e. waterfall vs agile * Able to manage multiple projects concurrently without impacting performance * Experience of commercial and contract negotiation processes * Proficient in a range of project management software tools including MS Project * Excellent communication skills with a range of audiences including senior managers and customers * Experience of forming and maintaining working relationships across professional and operational boundaries * Able to travel regularly within the UK, and occasional international travel * The post holder must be eligible to hold security clearance to SC level Advantageous * Management of Risk (MoR) and/or Managing Successful Programmes (MSP) are highly desirable * Formal project management qualification such as Prince 2, APM PMQ would be advantageous In addition to a Competitive Salary, we will offer you: * Great Work-Life Balance with our Hybrid Working Policy – 3 days in the office, 2 days from home * Competitive Group Pension Scheme * Comprehensive Life Assurance * * Comprehensive Income Protection * * Comprehensive Travel Insurance * * Comprehensive Private Healthcare (after successful passing of probation) * * Free Car Parking * 2 Paid Volunteering Days each calendar year (subject to line manager approval) * Investment in Training, Qualifications and Professional Development This is an excellent opportunity to join a great team/company – please call Michelle for further details or apply with your CV
