Air Personnel are looking for a FBO Manager to join their client based at Glasgow airport. As FBO Manager, you will be responsible for leading the operation and ensuring delivery of safe, efficient, and customer focused services in line with company policies and regulatory standards. You will act as the key point of contact for clients and stakeholders, while ensuring that all team members are motivated, trained, and performing to the highest standard.

Responsibilities:
- Leadership and overall responsibility for performance management of team and service levels in line with company procedures
- Developing and implementing procedures and strategy for all FBO operations
- Ownership of FBO Operations Manual
- Enforcing security and safety procedures in the FBO and on the ramp
- Responsible for P&L performance and budgeting and oversee finance processes i.e invoicing
- Managing security and safety procedures in the FBO and on the ramp
- Liaising with senior management for approvals on financial expenses for the FBO, budgeting, forecasting and expense management
- Coordinating with Quality and Safety Manager on formalising, updating and implementing required procedures
- Hire, train and evaluate FBO staff. Also ensure timely training and performance reviews for the staff
- Manage ramp team ensuring safety and procedures
- Conduct investigations of incidents in line with ICAO, IATA and ISBAH regulations and procedures
- Maintain positive relationships and a collaborative approach with all FBO customers, suppliers and stakeholders
- Encourage employee involvement and suggestions in the improvement and growth of the FBO, its people and its processes.
- Perform ramp activities and ground handling procedures, when required due to shortage of staff
- Ensure operational efficiency through effective management of resources and minimizing costs.
- Report to senior management on high priority incidents, department performance, budget reviews and any urgent approvals
- Develop and implement strategies in order to grow market share and maximize FBO revenues
- Regular monitoring and recording of KPIs, market activities, business volumes and margins
Skills, Qualifications and Experience required:
Essential
- Extensive experience in FBO and/or ground handling operations
- Experience in managing multicultural operational teams
- Proven performance management experience
- Strong commercial and budgeting/forecasting skills
- In-depth knowledge of ground handling procedures and staff rostering
- Demonstrated ability to drive P&L performance and cost optimisation
- Experience delivering 5-star customer service
- A highly motivated “people person” with excellent interpersonal skills
- Strong leadership and team development capabilities
Advantageous
- AVSEC experience or certification
- Experience in business plan development and execution
