About the role
We are searching for a dedicated Driver to join our Energas team in Middlesbrough. The primary mission is to operate heavy goods vehicles safely, legally, and efficiently, ensuring the delivery of company cylinders and packs.
Responsibilities
- Execute high-quality multi-drop delivery services, ensuring products reach customer sites and company depots on schedule.
- Maintain full responsibility for load and vehicle security, ensuring all mechanical and safety equipment is in working order in line with ADR standards.
- Ensure the vehicle is kept clean and maintained.
- Manage essential daily documentation, including advice notes, tachograph charts, and fuel mileage, while ensuring all work hours align with WTD regulations.
- Obtain signatures, collect payments when required, and maintain a high standard of customer service.
- Prioritise the well-being of staff, customers, and the public by strictly adhering to Health and Environment policies, and our 12 Life-Saving Rules.
Qualifications and requirements
- Minimum LGV C (HGV 2) license with a full, clean driving record and a valid Driver’s CPC Card.
- Proven experience in multi-drop deliveries and strong geographical knowledge of local and regional areas.
- Good health and fitness required for manual handling of cylinders; willingness to undergo a company medical if requested.
- Strong numeracy and literacy skills for accurate logging and reporting.
- FLT Licence an advantage but not essential.
- Commitment to safety and customer service skills.
