Air Liquide is currently searching for a dedicated Driver to join our Energas team in Middlesbrough. In this role, your primary mission is to operate our heavy goods vehicles safely, legally, and efficiently. You will play a pivotal part in our supply chain, ensuring the efficient and safe delivery of company cylinders/cylinder packs.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Executing high-quality multi-drop delivery services, ensuring products reach customer sites and company depots on schedule.
- Maintaining full responsibility for load and vehicle security, ensuring all mechanical and safety equipment is in working order in line with ADR standards.
- Ensuring your assigned vehicle is kept clean and being responsible for its upkeep.
- Managing essential daily documentation, including advice notes, tachograph charts, and fuel mileage, while ensuring all work hours align with WTD regulations.
- Obtaining signatures, collecting payments when required, and maintaining a high standard of customer service.
- Prioritising the well-being of staff, customers, and the public by strictly adhering to our Health and Environment policies and our 12 Life-Saving Rules.
We are looking for a disciplined driver with great customer service skills and a commitment to safety. You will also need:
- A minimum LGV C (HGV 2) license with a full, clean driving record and a valid Driver’s CPC Card.
- A valid ADR qualification.
- Proven experience in multi-drop deliveries and a strong geographical knowledge of the local and regional areas.
- A good standard of health and fitness is required for the manual handling of cylinders, and you must be willing to undergo a company medical if requested.
- Strong numeracy and literacy skills are required for accurate logging and reporting.
- FLT Licence an advantage but not essential.
