The Helium production operative will cover all areas of helium production from raw material import to product release from the lab. The role will also include planning of the filling of both helium gas cylinders and cryogenic dewars, and maintaining low levels of product loss whilst complying with Health & Safety requirements at all times. The successful applicant will also be responsible for the delivery of gas products to our customers.

  • You will be responsible for helium tank decanting
  • Working alongside internal teams to drive the business forward
  • Gas cylinder filling
  • Cryogenic helium filling into dewars
  • You will ensure the working environment is kept tidy and free from hazards
  • Stock management
  • Database (SAP) input
  • Forklift yard work (training given) - forklift license desirable
  • Helium testing in onsite Lab using Helium Gas chromatograph
  • Delivery of products to customers

Gas knowledge or a production background is an advantage. Technical mindset, good common sense. Mechanical background is an advantage. Customer focused with drive and enthusiasm. Problem solving skills and ability to anticipate problems. Good communication skills. Good time management and being able to prioritise your own workload. Understands customer needs and works to exceed expectations. Complies with legislation and company policies and procedures. Follow Standard Operating Procedures. Raises issues that may impinge on health & safety requirements. Reports Near Misses and dangerous occurrences. HGV Class 2 license (essential). HGV Class 1 license (desirable).
