To manage the Distribution team and assist FM with Operations. Directly supervise and coordinate the transportation of gas cylinders, ensuring a safe, efficient and satisfactory supply and service to customers.
Knowledge of customer service principles and processes, including needs assessment, quality standards and satisfaction evaluation. Knowledge of business and management principles such as strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources, leadership, production methods and coordination of people and resources. Knowledge of English language structure, meaning, spelling, composition rules and grammar. Knowledge of personnel recruitment, selection, training, compensation and benefits procedures. Knowledge of administrative procedures and systems (email, word processing, spreadsheets, file and records management, form design, office procedures).
Ability to communicate effectively. Use of logic and reasoning to identify strengths and weaknesses of solutions and evaluate alternative approaches. Conduct cost-benefit analysis to choose the most appropriate action. Monitor and assess performance of self and others, making improvements or corrective action. Compliance with government and company policies, procedures and regulations. Maintain flexibility to meet operational needs. Ensure premises and surroundings are clean and tidy at all times, reporting necessary repairs to Site Manager.
Previous supervisory work experience from a logistics background. Working knowledge of health and safety requirements of the HASAW Act. Good numeracy and literacy skills. Good health and fitness. A full, clean UK driving licence. Capability to report at all levels.
