The primary purpose of this role is to manage the end-to-end daily distribution of bulk gas products, ensuring customers remain continuously supplied while achieving the lowest possible total cost. You will act as a strategic coordinator, using a transport management system to build distribution plans that balance production and sourcing costs against delivery expenses. This role requires a high degree of adaptability to navigate daily shifts in sources, drivers, trailers availability. In addition, the position focuses on long-term efficiency and cross-functional leadership. You are responsible for analysing delivery outcomes to improve the system's predictive accuracy and taking direct action to enhance KPIs. You lead the weekly Sales & Operations Execution (S&OE) meetings, fostering collaboration between production, fleet and carrier management, and sales teams.

Main responsibilities will include:

  • Optimising Deliveries
    • Identifies the consumption profile of the delivery points and selects the potential customers to be delivered.
    • Checks orders automatically integrated in the systems and creates orders in the system for CMI (Customer Managed Inventory) customer deliveries.
    • Feeds the transport management system with CMI orders taking into account the forecasting module to generate a distribution plan in the system and organise product deliveries to internal and external customers.
    • Adapts the plan proposed by the system according to daily constraints and legal aspects.
    • Collaborates with maintenance planning by liaising with maintenance department and carriers.
    • Provides transport carriers/drivers with the planned trips, including the loading and unloading points and the order in which they must be reached.
  • Trip Return analysis & Distribution process improvement
    • Through a continuous improvement approach, closes the loop after delivery to analyse and understand exceptions.
    • Is able to explain exceptions if needed for the trips validation.
    • Updates transport management system settings for future deliveries optimisations (data adjustment).
    • Analyses KPIs to take corrective/preventive actions.
    • Assesses regularly the transport management system database and identifies incoherent data and corrects them (data cleaning).
    • Is responsible for the dispatching workflow and continuously improving it.
    • Ensures the information collection from drivers and transfers. Ensures that incidents are shared with relevant parties and classifies the urgency.
  • Lead weekly S&OE meeting
    • Matches demand with supply.
    • Collects information from: Primary production (availability of gas), Fleet and carrier management (availability of trailers/drivers), Sales (customer demand).
    • Agrees and formalises actions to mitigate risks highlighted during the meeting and follows up on them.
    • Escalates to management if needed.
    • Shares weekly S&OE view with all stakeholders.
    • 100% follow up of agreed actions S&OE meeting.
  • On duty service
    • Participates in on duty services according to the local procedure.
    • In rotation scheme, if UK only 1 x month. Planning check in the weekend.

Are you a MATCH? The ideal person for this role will have a strong background in logistics and/or transport planning. We also look for:

  • 5+ years experience in a similar role with demonstrated success in transport planning.
  • OLAT is essential.
  • CPC is desired but not essential.
  • Team player with an ability to communicate and build relationships with customers, suppliers, and colleagues.
  • Customer oriented mindset.
  • Analytical thinker with strong problem solving skills.
  • Ownership: You are able to take initiative supporting our continuous improvement culture.
  • Flexibility: This job requires you to be reachable (on-duty) outside of office hours during one week every month in a rotation scheme.
  • Learning agility: You get the best out of situations by learning on the job and by peers. You are comfortable using digital tools and are willing to continuously develop your skills and knowledge.

Education Requirements: A Bachelor's Degree (preferably in logistics management) or equivalent by experience. Dutch language skills are beneficial, but not essential.
