The role is responsible for delivering effective and efficient services for all international flights operating during the shift, in line with the Airport Handling Manual. This includes ensuring smooth terminal and airside operations, overseeing subordinate staff, and managing airport activities at the station.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure on‑time flight closure and passenger boarding to meet OTP (On-Time Performance) targets.
- Work closely with the Ground Handling Agent (GHA) and all airport departments for seamless flight operations.
- Handle emergency situations, flight disruptions, and misconnections efficiently.
- Ensure passengers receive full support during any irregular operations or disruptions.
- Allocate duties to staff and provide timely briefings on procedures, functions, and latest handling instructions.
- Deploy manpower effectively to meet operational requirements.
- Manage available resources to ensure smooth overall operations.
- Stay fully aware of all arrival/departure details, VIP/CIP travel, and special commitments.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders including GHA, caterers, fueling teams, maintenance, cargo, and cabin crew for expediting departures.
- Provide assistance to other departments for commercial complaint resolution and to support on-time performance.
- Facilitate ramp handling activities to ensure safe, efficient, and timely aircraft turnarounds.
- Work with all relevant parties to maintain smooth terminal and airside operations.
- Implement preventive measures to avoid revenue leakage, theft, or pilferage at the airport.
- Take prompt action on incidents, conduct on‑the‑spot assessments, and address violations of handling procedures.
- Maintain readiness for contingency handling and emergency response situations.
- Undertake any additional tasks or standalone projects assigned from time to time.
