Role Description
The Air Conditioning Engineer role is a full-time, on-site position based in High Wycombe. The engineer will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing air conditioning and HVAC systems in commercial and residential properties. Day-to-day tasks include diagnosing faults, performing routine servicing, ensuring systems operate efficiently, and complying with safety and regulatory standards. The role involves reading and interpreting technical drawings, liaising with clients and site managers, preparing job reports, and coordinating with other building services professionals. The engineer may also support project planning, assist with commissioning new systems, and respond to emergency call-outs as required.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in HVAC systems, including installation, maintenance, and fault diagnosis.
- Experience in Building Maintenance and Building Services within commercial or residential environments.
- Knowledge of Facility Management (FM) practices and Maintenance & Repair procedures for mechanical systems.
- Relevant technical qualification or apprenticeship in air conditioning, refrigeration, or mechanical engineering.
- Understanding of UK health and safety regulations and industry standards.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Full UK driving license and willingness to travel to client sites in the region.
