We are offering a unique opportunity for a trainee to gain on-the-job experience whilst attending our bespoke, City and Guilds accredited training centre. The aim: to become a highly skilled Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Service Engineer.

What you’ll Learn

You will be working alongside experienced engineers on a daily basis, learning on the job as you work on customer sites, doing service and maintenance of refrigeration and air conditioning equipment. After gaining some experience working and learning in the field, candidates who demonstrate an aptitude to be a qualified service engineer will be enrolled into our state-of-the-art training centre in King\\\'s Lynn.

Training will include a combination of classroom teaching and home study with written assignments and on-site assessments. It takes approximately 18 months to complete the course and at the end of the course you will be a skilled Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Service Engineer with a City and Guilds accredited qualification.

You will attend our in-house bespoke training centre in Kings Lynn, Norfolk at least once a month in week to 2-week long blocks. You will be provided with accommodation and meals during the time you spend at the training centre.

Once you successfully complete your course you will be awarded your City and Guilds accredited certificates issued with an Adcock van and will continue to learn as you gain experience.

What do you need to have?

  • Basic skills requirement with a minimum of a level 5 (C) in English and Maths or have the required skills through acquired prior learning.
  • Must have own transport and able to get to and from the branch or meeting points.
  • Training is fully funded by Adcock, subject to a Training Funding Agreement.
  • Able to accommodate early starts and / or later finishes.
  • Able to work away should this be required.
  • A full, valid UK driving licence is essential.
  • Some experience within a construction-based role would be an advantage but is not essential.
