As a Sidewalk Crew Member, you will play a vital role in keeping local communities safe by clearing snow and ice from sidewalks, walkways, and entrances. Responsibilities
- Clear snow and ice from sidewalks, walkways, and building entrances using shovels and snow blowers
- Apply salt or ice melt as directed to ensure safe walking surfaces
- Work efficiently and safely as part of a team during snow events
- Be available and reliable for on-call shifts during snow events, including nights, weekends, and holidays
Qualifications
- Must be dependable and able to work in cold, outdoor conditions for extended periods
- No prior experience required—training provided
- Ability to work flexible, on-call hours during snow events (December through February)
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Ideal for individuals with experience in landscaping, roofing, construction, or other outdoor labour, but open to all applicants
Compensation
$18.00 – $26.00 per hour, based on experience and performance.
