The Cargo Accounts department is the main point of contact for all billing and accounts queries, from internal and external customers, for Air Canada Cargo within the UK. The department works closely with the Customer Service department to ensure that all customer shipments are billed efficiently and accurately. When dealing with customer billing queries this role will require some investigative skills to ascertain the legitimacy of claims.
Responsibilities:- Action and record all customer enquiries received from external and internal customers.
- Perform relevant checks to establish justification for any customer queries and forward to responsible departments for investigation and authorization.
- Work closely with the Customer Service Unit to eradicate billing errors.
- Contact customers to confirm and reject adjustment requests.
- Prepare Cargo adjustment as necessary using Word & Excel.
- Prepare CASS adjustments when required and arrange for the input of data into the Cargo accounting system (CITRIX).
- Prepare Cargo documentation for uploading to the Air Canada Cargo document management system (Odiss).
- Issue supplementary invoices and apply credit control processes.
- Provide support and deputise for the Cargo Accounts Coordinator where required.
- Process new credit account applications and update participant file database, communicate irregularities, suspensions and additions when necessary.
- Approve payment of invoices through the Ariba Invoicing System.
- General duties as assigned relative to Cargo Accounts.
- Ensure compliance with ACU online training.
- Applicants must have the permanent and unrestricted right to live and work in the United Kingdom.
- Previous Cargo experience an advantage.
- Good computer skills with a high level of accuracy, experience with Microsoft Office an asset.
- Good verbal and written skills.
- Must be a team player and represent Air Canada in a professional manner.
- Must have an ability to use tact, good judgement and initiative, with a flexible attitude and willingness to make decisions for the benefit of both Air & Canada Cargo and our Customers.
- Ability to work under pressure, plan workload and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Conform to Company grooming standard.
- Ability to access the AC Aeronet and independently research the AC publications to determine Company procedures and processes.
- Required to wear PPE in designated high-risk areas.
- Candidates must be eligible to work in the country of interest at the time any offer of employment is made and are responsible for obtaining any required work permits, visas, or other authorizations necessary for employment.
- Prior to their start date, candidates will also need to provide proof of their eligibility to work in the country of interest.
- Fluent in English, oral and written, any other languages an asset.
