The Role
As a QA Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality, reliability and performance of our mobile applications. You’ll focus on building robust automated tests and strengthening API testing processes while still performing hands‑on functional validation when needed. Working closely with developers, product managers, and designers, you’ll help identify issues early, expand test coverage, and implement scalable testing strategies that guarantee a smooth and stable user experience. Your role will be essential in detecting bugs, verifying feature implementations, automating tests, and validating software stability before deployment. This is a fully onsite position, based at our office in Lisbon, where you will collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams in person and contribute to a dynamic and fast‑paced environment. We are open to support with relocation efforts.
Responsibilities
- Perform manual testing on web and mobile applications to ensure a seamless user experience.
- Perform API tests and automation using Postman.
- Creating and maintaining Postman documentation.
- Create and execute automated regression, functional, performance, and API tests.
- Develop and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
- Document and report bugs, working closely with developers to resolve issues.
- Ensure feature compliance by validating product requirements against test results.
- Identify edge cases, inconsistencies, and performance issues.
- Work with cross‑functional teams to improve software quality throughout the development lifecycle.
- Provide clear and structured feedback to enhance product functionality and user experience.
- Maintain test documentation and contribute to quality assurance best practices.
Requirements
- Around 3+ years of experience in manual and functional testing.
- Strong understanding of QA methodologies, testing types, and best practices.
- Experience with test case management tools (e.g., TestRail, Zephyr, Xray).
- Proficiency in test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Appium, Playwright).
- Strong experience in programming languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
- Familiarity with bug tracking systems (e.g., Jira, Trello, Bugzilla).
- Experience in testing web and mobile applications (iOS & Android).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify complex usability issues.
- Experience with API testing (e.g., Postman).
- Ability to work in an agile development environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
