This role will report to the Running and Challenge Manager and will support the growth and ambitions of the Running and Challenge Team by leading on a variety of areas to:

- Deliver standout support for our growing number of supporters that take on a variety of challenges, ensuring they’re inspired and held accountable to raise as much as possible to support our lifesaving work.
Job Requirements
This role requires someone who has an interest in fundraising specifically within the challenge or events remit, and who can research, engage, promote and deliver our portfolio. The role will involve communicating with challenge event fundraisers and third-party suppliers to proactively build relationships. This coordinator role sits between the Running and Challenge Assistant and Running and Challenge Manager roles requiring collaborative working but taking ownership of tasks and working independently too.
Duties to Include:
- Lead on curating and delivering detailed stewardship plans to support fundraisers, especially teams in key events, to make them feel valued, supported, and inspired to raise as much as possible.
- Lead on the delivery of a virtual challenge event including but not limited to: ordering merchandise, creating and delivering a stewardship journey, processing sign ups to send welcome packs and incentives, leading on content creation for emails and the Facebook group and working with our volunteer group experts.
- Host a variety of base visits throughout the year at our Redhill Aerodrome base. These can range from getting a team together pre-event to celebrating fundraising achievements post-event.
- Lead on building relationships with established regional events, creating webpages for these events and liaising with our Social Media Officer to ensure posts are scheduled to highlight our involvement in the events.
- Oversight of the team’s webpages – write copy for and create new pages/take pages down when needed and ensure that webpages are always up to date.
- Work with the Running and Challenge Assistant to agree cheer squad logistics at key events and to attend events to cheer.
- Help build and support on the delivery of marketing plans to fill places in events/recruit participants.
- Use of key systems like Donorflex (to keep communications up to date), Enthuse (to create and manage places in events), Volunteero (to set up requests and manage volunteers) and dotdigital (to create, schedule and programme emails).
- Work independently and make decisions.
- Develop fundraising resources to create convenient ways for people to raise money.
- Attend events to represent the charity when opportunities arise and to provide much needed support to our fundraisers at key events.
- Work outside of core hours from time to time for base visits and when key events take place on weekends. (You’ll get time off in lieu).
- Share ownership of our team inbox, team WhatsApp and the onboarding and welcoming of supporters.
- Always work in compliance with the Fundraising Regulator’s Code of Practice, Data Protection Legislation, all other relevant regulations and KSS policies.
Other General Duties
- When working at our office: Welcome visitors and assist them in the appropriate manner.
- Observe and adhere to office procedures.
- Respect confidentiality of all information obtained whilst working for the Charity.
- Contribute to the functioning and morale of the team, whilst conducting yourself in a professional and efficient manner.
- Other duties as may be required from time to time on behalf of the Charity.
