About Aios Medical

Our overarching mission is to build the AI operating system for consumer healthcare - delivering end-to-end care with near-zero marginal human time. We are not an average healthcare company. We believe the future of healthcare is automated, intelligent, radically lower cost, and built around the consumer. We believe biology is entering a golden age. We believe profitable, focused companies beat bloated ones. We're determined to get the humans out of healthcare - replacing slow, expensive, legacy workflows with software-driven care delivered at scale.

We’ve started by building this infrastructure to power our own brands - including Bolt Pharmacy and Fella Health, among others. Today, that infrastructure is helping patients access life-changing treatment for excess bodyweight. Over time, we’ll extend it across many of the categories that will define the next era of healthcare. Our infrastructure will have served 100 million patients worldwide by 2035. We’ll then use that infrastructure to deliver next-generation healthcare products at massive scale.

How far along are we? We’ve grown 40x over the past 12 months, now serving 100,000+ patients and surpassing $200M in annual revenue, all while staying cashflow positive. We’re a young startup and we’re just getting started. This is still Day 1 and all our work is ahead of us.

We're backed by top healthcare & consumer investors:

  • Y Combinator
  • Global Founders Capital
  • AngelList Early Stage Fund
  • BrandProject

Your mandate is simple, but hard:

  • Recruit the best talent in the world
  • Build a culture where exceptional people do the work of their lives
  • Run the boring stuff (onboarding, payroll, equity, systems) exceptionally well

This is not a traditional HR role. This is a company-building role. You will help determine who joins Aios, how we operate, whether our best people thrive, and whether we become a generational company.

We are extreme in our standards, distinctly weird, and unapologetically ambitious. We are a team of misfits, builders, obsessives, and high-agency operators who never quite fit in traditional companies. If you’re looking for corporate normalcy, this is not it.

You'll report directly to Joey, Chief of Staff and work closely with Richie, CEO. This is a fully remote, full-time role, mostly async, with availability expected until midday Pacific Time.

Key Responsibilities

We want builders. Killers. Missionaries. People with taste, judgment, grit, and unusually high standards. Your job is to find them, keep them, and help them do the best work of their lives.

  • Talent Acquisition: Build a world-class recruiting function that consistently finds and closes exceptional people across every function and level. Own hiring strategy, sourcing, process design, closing, and raising the bar over time. You should know how to spot unusual talent early - people others overlook, underestimate, or misunderstand.
  • Culture & Performance: Help create an environment where extraordinary people can do extraordinary work. That means high standards, candor, urgency, integrity, ownership, and intensity. It also means protecting what makes Aios special: our weirdness, our ambition, our refusal to become corporate, and our belief that mission-driven people can outperform larger and richer competitors. You’ll help ensure our best people are stretched, energized, improving, and proud to be here.
  • People Operations: Own the operational backbone of the company. Payroll, equity administration, onboarding, off-boarding, ATS, HRIS, compliance workflows, documentation, internal processes, benefits, and the countless unglamorous details that determine whether a company feels sharp or sloppy. You’ll build systems that scale without creating bureaucracy.

Need to have

  • Proven track record hiring exceptional people who noticeably raised the bar of the teams around them.
  • Strong judgment on talent. You know how to spot real ability and ignore polish, credentials, titles, and corporate nonsense.
  • Experience building culture intentionally in fast-growing companies where top performers feel challenged, accountable, and proud to work.
  • Strong operator with the ability to build systems, process, and internal infrastructure that make a company sharper and faster.
  • High-agency leader who solves problems quickly, keeps standards high, communicates well, and has no patience for mediocrity or politics.

Nice to have

  • Experience in startups, healthcare, consumer, AI, or other high-growth environments.
  • Existing network of exceptional operators, leaders, and rising talent across multiple functions.

Our cultural standards

We aim to make this your life’s work. This should be the most challenging, most rewarding role of your life. Accordingly, these are the core cultural standards to which we hold ourselves & our team-members:

  • Belief in the mission: We will have served 100 million patients by the end of 2035 and we transform the life of most patients who join. We have a lot of work to do. We are obsessed with our patients and are dedicated to the mission.
  • Unwavering integrity: We are at the frontier, so we often live in ambiguity with no trodden path. When we can’t look to others for guidance, we must maintain impeccable ethics and unwavering integrity.
  • Only the paranoid survive: Bad sh*t is coming. By joining us, you’re choosing to sail straight towards the storms with unhesitating conviction. However much we’ve already done, however far we’ve already come — it’s still Day 1 and all our work is ahead of us.
  • If we’re average we fail: We are only interested in “insanely great”, a focus on the quality of our execution that in everyday life would be considered pathological. We have a dedication to excellence and reject incompetence.
  • Commitment to candor: That which can be destroyed by the truth should be. You get full transparency from the company and the company expects full transparency from you. We never say anything about someone that we wouldn’t say to them directly. We give feedback with love and do not need to protect people from fleeting physical sensations.
  • A maniacal sense of urgency: We execute at an intensity that most people think is impossible. Speed is critical and we need things done yesterday. We all work very hard and in such a competitive world there really is no other way to win.
  • Enduring frugality: We are frugal. We hate being wasteful and we are anti-luxury. A culture of cheapness keeps us young. We spend our cash wisely & carefully — in a way that would make our grandmas proud.
  • Bulldozing barriers: The world is malleable and we shape it. We truly believe this and act accordingly. We are relentlessly resourceful and are at the mercy of no-one but ourselves. You’ll be shocked how capable you are and how much you can achieve.
  • Keep your head down: We’re boring people doing exciting work. We don’t chase short-term status — we ignore short-term dopamine hits and focus on what matters. Outsiders will underestimate us and we revel in that.
  • The power of focus: We live in a world of power laws and we cannot overestimate the unimportance of practically everything. Know your One Thing, and nail it.

Compensation & Benefits

You get paid above market salary and you get early stage equity, so you get really rich if we nail this.

Compensation: $125k-250k/yr inc equity
